The most important river of Georgia is Mtkvari (Kura river). The protection day of the Mtkvari river is June 2nd<\/sup>. This day was established in 1999 by the coalition \u201cKura-Araks\u201d.\u00a0 This day is celebrated in Georgia, as well as in Armenia and Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n National Environmental Agency performs regular quality monitoring of the river Mtkvari in 19 spots monthly and in 33 spots quarterly.<\/p>\n On 2nd<\/sup> June 2020 water samples were taken from the Mtkvari river.
