Today, on November 2, we conducted a training on project writing and fundraising at the “Eco Centre” office. The training was held with the support of the Women’s Foundation within the framework of the project “Promoting Women’s Engagement in Environmental Advocacy in Rustavi” and women and girls from Rustavi and Tbilisi participated in it.<\/p>\n

At the training, we discussed such issues as:<\/p>\n

What is a project? What is the outcome of a project;<\/p>\n

How to define project goals and objectives;<\/p>\n

How to collect data and evaluate project progress; How to define project elements, including target audience, project outcomes;<\/p>\n

How do we determine how achievable our goals are?<\/p>\n

How to get information about the grant competition;<\/p>\n

How to turn an idea into a project;<\/p>\n

drawing up an action plan;<\/p>\n

Determination of the risks related to project implementation.<\/p>\n

We discussed and explained the theory of change, so what is the probability that we will achieve our project objectives.<\/p>\n

The training included a practical part as well, and the participants did an exercise on the example of a problem tree.<\/p>\n

We discussed the logical model – why it is useful and what it can be useful for when writing a project. Also, we learned how to build a logic model.<\/p>\n

We talked about the importance of strategic communication, building effective coalitions, advocating policy decisions and actions for the success and long-term results of our project.<\/p>\n

We discussed what a project application should be and how we should formulate the goals and objectives of the project to meet the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound) criteria. In addition, the participants were introduced to how to do a SWOT analysis during the implementation of the project. We also saw a sample project
