At these meetings, we highlighted the need to solve the problem of unregulated intercity transportation between Rustavi and Tbilisi.<\/p>\n<p>At the public deliberation, the tasks and activities outlined in each sector of the Action Plan, which were planned for climate change mitigation, were discussed. We are specifically interested in the goals and objectives set in the transport and industrial sectors, as Rustavi&#8217;s problems cover these two sectors, and the Action Plan also includes activities for the benefit of Rustavi in these sectors. You can see more details about these activities in <a href=\"https:\/\/ecocentre.ge\/news\/rustavi-da-klimatis-cvlileba-ra-qmedebebia-gansazghvruli-klimatis-cvlilebis-samoqmedo-gegmashi\/\">our material<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the transportation sector, the climate action plan outlines 4 tasks aimed at reducing transport emissions by at least 15% by 2030 compared to the baseline (1990) level.<\/p>\n<p>These tasks are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increasing the share of low and zero-emission and technically sound private vehicles in the fleet;<\/li>\n<li>Reducing demand for fossil fuels and promoting the use of biofuels;<\/li>\n<li>Promoting non-motorized mobility and public transport;<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of evidence-based innovative initiatives in the transport sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As for the industrial sector, to reduce emissions, the Action Plan outlines 2 tasks.
