In June 2024 with a grant from the Institute of War and Peace Reporting (IWPR), supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Eco Centre launched a project \u2013 \u201cCivic Engagement for Green Future\u201d.<\/p>\n

The project has two objective:<\/p>\n

Objective 1<\/strong> \u2013 Promoting a waste-separation culture to combat plastic pollution.<\/p>\n

Objective 2<\/strong> \u2013 Promoting civic engagement and inclusive participation in advocating environmental issues.<\/p>\n

Activities undertaken to achieve the project objectives:<\/p>\n

1.1 \u201cTurn plastic into trees\u201d contest and functioning of the plastic collection point at Eco Centre office<\/p>\n

1.2 Rustavi Schools Poster Contest and informational meeting on Plastic Pollution<\/p>\n

1.3 Excursion in a plastic recycling enterprise \u201cPolyvim\u201d LLC<\/p>\n

2.1 Publishing informational material regarding advocacy examples<\/p>\n

2.2 2,5-day Training on Advocacy and Civil Activism<\/p>\n
