A free program for determining the content of lead in the blood has been launched in Rustavi. Do not miss the chance to test your children on the lead content in their blood for free.
Determining lead content in blood at an early stage can prevent further complications.
Lead content in the blood causes anemia, faintness, brain and kidney damage, and a lot of further complications. A high level of lead in blood content may even cause death.
Determining lead content is done by testing venous blood; you will receive the results about two weeks after sampling.
This test is free for 2–7-year-old children; in other cases, for instance, for adults, it costs 80 GEL.
Do not postpone taking this chance, as the duration of the free program is unknown.
Analyzes are done in City Lab; Megobroba street 1, Rustavi.
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday – 09:00 – 17:00
Saturday – 09:00 – 14:00
We can read the following information on their page: “Signs of intoxication are: behavioural problems, easy fatigue, weakness, anemia, lack of appetite, etc.; primary signs are quite diverse and non-specific.
If you have 2-7-year old children with the abovementioned symptoms and want to exclude lead poisoning, you can test your children in City Lab for free.”
We hope, the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) will analyze the data according to the actual place of residence, so that we will get known to the statistics about the lead content only for children who reside in Rustavi; and not automatically presume all the analyses were made on Rustavi children.
